Thijs van de Vooren is CFO of Energie Beheer Nederland, where he plays a key role in navigating the financial and strategic challenges of the Dutch energy transition. With a background spanning investment banking and the energy sector, he combines strong financial leadership with deep experience in transformation, governance and long-term value creation. Before joining EBN in 2024, Thijs held senior finance leadership roles at Eneco, including Director Corporate Finance, Control & Risk and CFO International, overseeing activities across multiple European markets. Earlier in his career, he worked at Lehman Brothers and Shell, building broad international experience across finance, strategy and operations. He holds degrees in Civil Engineering and Business Administration, completed an Executive Master of Finance & Control (RC), and attended INSEAD executive education programmes.
