Jeroen was educated as a Chemical Technologist and in Business Administration. After a career as a consultant (including at KPMG and PwC), he became increasingly involved in and interested in procurement through a financial role at Essent. He subsequently served as Procurement Director at Essent, at its parent company RWE (in Germany), and as Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) at NS (at the time the notorious Fyra had just been taken out of service). He has now been with KPN for four years. Improving and professionalizing procurement is his passion (both within and outside KPN), and he is also active with Nevi and SIGB. Jeroen lives in Amersfoort with his wife and their three daughters (two of whom are now in higher education).
