Per advises senior executives and boards on the responsible use of AI to drive growth, productivity, innovation, and transformation. He spear-heads KPMG’s efforts to help clients navigate the Generative and Agentic AI market disruption, as the Global leader for AI Sales Acceleration and AI strategy. Per served on the US Board of KPMG and leads AI training for Boards and Senior Executives as well as our AI Strategy Services offerings. Per’s work with artificial intelligence, strategy and transformation spans a period of more than 30 years and he is passionate about capturing the benefits of AI to drive human productivity and creativity for businesses.
He has personally engaged with more than 1000 Board directors, C-suite executives, and investors to share perspectives on AI as an enabler of transformation. Per leads KPMG’s global AI pursuit team, bringing the latest AI insights and expert capabilities to the most complex and competitive engagements across the world.
Per Chaired the Board Committee responsible for overseeing KPMG’s AI Strategy and transformation. This includes restructuring the KPMG organization around AI; the launch of Advisory GPT - one of the earliest large-scale deployments of a LLM in a corporate environment; and creating the world’s largest benchmarking tool for predicting the economic impact of AI by building digital twins of 17 million companies’ organizations.
In prior KPMG roles, he pioneered the practical use of machine learning for businesses within the KPMG Strategy Practice, e.g., for predicting customer churn risks and prioritizing sales leads, and authored thought leadership on the implications of Deep Learning in the automotive industry.
Per joined KPMG from Cisco Systems, where he was vice president for global strategy, M&A, business development, and operations for Cisco Global Services. In this role, he led the transformation of Cisco’s service strategy and go-to-market transformation to improve efficiency and capture new growth opportunities in technical and professional services, data analytics, cloud and security.
Prior, he spent 17 years with McKinsey & Company, serving leading technology and telecommunications clients in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia as a senior partner in the technology and telecommunications practice, while co-leading the global sales and channel service line.
Per started his career at the European Space Agency and worked on the use of space technology to mitigate natural disasters and the civil use of drones to augment Broadband satellite communications. His journey with AI goes back to 1991 when he interned with AI Systems in Belgium.
