Mathijs has a background in private equity, where he spent ten years operating in a high-pressure environment with significant responsibility and (almost) unlimited resources. That firsthand experience forms the foundation of his work today.

Driven by the question of how leaders at that level can sustainably perform at their best, he pursued formal coaching training. This led to his conviction that top-level leaders need an independent, equal sparring partner.

From this insight, he founded +pascal: a carefully curated ecosystem of executive coaches and mentors for executives, board members, and entrepreneurs.
